Fourteen suspected terrorists stand trial at court of appeal

A group of 14 individuals, involved in preparing terrorist operations, were referred on Thursday to the investigating judge at the court of appeal of Rabat, general prosecutor, Lahcen Laoufi, announced on Friday.

According to the source, investigation established that these individuals, aged between 17 and 42 years, were projecting to steal explosive substances from a cement plant and conducting para-military training in order to carry out sabotage activities.

Over 100 persons have appeared before the court of appeal of Rabat, in connection with last May 16 terrorist acts in Casablanca. The prosecutor said investigation is still going on to find all the other persons involved in this case.

A set of audio and video tapes advocating the use of violence were also seized.
